Event 1 : 1 Rep Max Jerk in 12 Minutes, Team Total Score as Compared to Team Bodyweight

  • MOVEMENT: Bar starts in the rack, empty. One athlete lifts at a time trying to establish a max lift. Athletes can take as many attempts as they want to find a max lift. A “good” lift is one that travels from the shoulders to overhead in one fluid motion, stopping with the feet in a split (front to back) landing. Press out of the arms is allowed. A lift is not “good” until the judge signals as much.Any failures have to be picked up by the team however they choose. Judges cannot physically help them with the bars at any time.
  • EQUIPMENT: Athletes must use clips. Women will have a 33# female bar, men will have a 45# male bar.
  • SCORING: Athletes must declare weight before it is lifted or discrepancies will be decided by what the judge has as final. The team score is the total of the highest good lifts added together as compared to their total team bodyweight.

EVENT 2 : Team Max Barbell Complex in 12 Minutes, Team Total Score as Compared to Team Bodyweight

Complex : 1 Power Clean + 2 Front Squat + 1 Power Clean

  • MOVEMENT: Empty bars start on the floor. Athletes will have similar pairs of weights from 2.5#-45# as all other teams. One athlete lifts at a time, making as many attempts as desired, attempting to lift the heaviest possible weight to accumulate the highest possible Team Total.Athletes may drop the bar from the last front squat before the last power clean if desired. However, athletes have 20 seconds from the start of the complex until they must complete the last power clean determined by the judge saying “good”.Power cleans start with both weights touching the floor and pass from the floor to the shoulders in one fluid motion. The hips must stay above the knees to be “power”. The front squats must be done in succession and any dropping of the bar from the first clean until the last squat is completed makes the entire complex “no good”. Squats must have the hip crease pass below the top of the thigh/knee cap area to be considered “good”.Any grip is allowed for Power Cleans. Front Rack only for Front Squat. Hands must stay on the bar for the all reps at all times to count (hands cannot slip off from front rack position and continue).
  • EQUIPMENT: Each athlete will have their own bar. Women will have a 33# female bar, men will have a 45# male bar. Athletes must use clips.
  • SCORING: Athletes must declare weight before it is lifted or discrepancies will be decided by what the judge has as final. The team score is the total of the highest good lifts added together as compared to their total team bodyweight.
