This live performance is the most ridiculous thing I have seen in relation to the given subject matter. Incredible, shameful, masterpiece, pile of dog shit, it’s all these and 1000 more.

This little diddy by Sir Elton John is an A+ reminder that uberstars in music, the oligarchs of the entertainment world that they are, are completely untouchable. Infallible I believe is the word Charles Abdella taught us in Sophomore AP-MEH, being the idea of total and complete inability to make mistakes or be wrong.

This performance is so wrong it’s right. It doesn’t capture the special power that an orchestra mixed with a rock band can magically have like “No Leaf Clover” by Metallica. Yet it doesn’t maintain the majestic feel of an orchestra mixed with a dynamic frontman like Steven Tyler on “Dream On”. This, Sir Elton, is just you hopefully doing a lot of drugs and deciding this was a good idea, which obviously he did because by the look on everyone’s faces as the performance went on there were thousands upon thousands of people who felt just like he did in this was an A+ idea.

I disagree so hard for no reason other than the above. It is just a silly rendition of an awesome song. End of story.
