Yep, it’s time. Let’s own it. December is getting date confirmations. And they’re all straight fire!!! That’s pronounced with a hard “r” right? Just like all the kids??…

 

2019 Toy Drive with the Local Teamsters of Charlestown: For the 3rd Christmas Season in a row we are lucky enough to have a great partner in the local union to team up on a Toy Drive. Charlestown is already collecting toys at the box and Woburn will start collecting this week. Both gyms will have decorations done by the start of next week’s classes.

Like every year, please bring in unwrapped toys of your choosing and put them under the tree just like Santa Claus. In the past 3 years we have had over 125 toys each year with the total actually close to 500. This means you all have contributed directly to making the holiday season better for nearly 500 different little kids who otherwise wouldn’t have anything to open. That is amazing to me. Truly tear jerking.

In the years before this partnership we worked with Toys for Tots and the State Police of MA and had similar amazing responses. In the 2 years we did it with only the Woburn location we collected nearly 500 toys again. That’s almost 1000 toys in 5 years folks. You know what that means?

You are all fu**ing amazing. And I appreciate you all so much.

LET’S KEEP IT GOING FOR THIS YEAR. The challenge is out there. You have seen the numbers. I want 150 toys by December 15th. That’s 75 per location. That is basically less than .5 toys per person. Please don’t cut toys in pieces and instead bring MORE THAN 1!!!

Holiday Party : 1st Annual on Friday, December 21st. First time ever we are having a true Holiday Party and it will be at the Knights of Columbus in their function hall right next door to Lando Charlestown. This is no secret. It’s time to party it up on Friday before Christmas with your closest, sweatiest friends. Bring other family, significant other’s, friends, non-members and members alike. It will run 8-12, have full bar, DJ, dance floor, and holiday decor. Personally I can’t wait, and neither can Thor.

No RSVP needed…because I know you are all coming anyways!!
