Your Weekend Update

Greetings from 10 Micro Drive in Woburn! We hope everyone had a great first week of the year. It’s never too late to get going on your New Year’s fitness goals. If you need any advice check out the post from a few days ago on the three keys to fitness. I also encourage you to check out this article in the CrossFit Journal on balancing blood sugar levels and other tidbits about paleo and zone diet eating. I like this article because it simplifies things and makes you understand that while getting your nutrition on track might seem difficult it is actually not too hard. Just need a little knowledge and some motivation!

Opening Day is coming up on us (FINALLY!!) in a matter of a few weeks. The rough plumbing and electric work is done in the bathroom area and the framing is completely up. They even got the showers installed in the shower rooms. This is all good stuff. This means that next week they will do the finish work in the bathrooms, putting in the nice aesthetics to make it look all pretty, and finish tying up loose ends throughout the space.

Our Opening Day is yet to be 100% determined, but we are looking at no later than January 21, with more than likely it being sometime that week before, the week of January 14th. The day that we find out when the first day of classes will be we will blast it all over the place so you guys know right away.

Until then keep checking back for updates. We are also going to be posting some instructional videos and exercise demos for some of movements we do starting next week to wet your appetite for what you will be seeing in classes. Until then, check out this video of our very own Coach Kroon. Here is a workout she did at a box in Texas during a tour for Barbells for Boobs in 2011, the same fundraiser that she took part in the Northeast Nasty Girls calendar this past year. She is doing a workout with Overhead Squats and Double Unders with a fellow Games competitor. Pretty cool (Stacey is kind of a big deal).
