Saturday 6.6 : “Big Floyd WOD”
Obviously there is a lot going on in the world, with us, around us, for many in our very lives.
I have always held the belief that the Golden Rule stands true for everything. “Treat others the way you want to be treated”, or whatever iteration of it you want.
Black, white, brown, yellow, rainbow, whatever color someone might be, they are a human, and that is reason enough for me, for us, to treat them with the same respect that we would want as humans back.
Regardless of where you fall on the aftermath, what happened to George Floyd is a tragedy, and one that could have been prevented had individuals and organizations been better educated, better treated, better HUMANS, just been better. Nobody deserves that fate, and many, many lives have been forever destroyed because of those fateful 8+ minutes.
I’m not saying doing a WOD changes anything that happened, but doing a WOD and spreading the word of respect, justice, and humanity can change A LOT. Donating a little bit doesn’t hurt either.
We STRONGLY recommend that you come do the “Big Floyd” WOD tomorrow when you come into CrossFit Lando Charlestown and get your training in. Then visit one of the following and read up, educate yourself, and maybe make a donation. These are all organizations right here in Boston that can help by doing other things than just taking your money. Sometimes just reading and learning can help a lot more than you think.

As always you are free to do what you want at anytime. You can come to the facility tomorrow and do your own thing. This is just the WOD for CrossFit Lando Charlestown and our community and while we cannot ALL be together to do it, we can for the 5 hours of sessions we have people coming in for. If you can’t make it in try it on your own!

*Row substitute will be done at CrossFit Lando Charlestown of equal distance.
